Energy & Heat Utilization

Thermal decomposition of biomass produces syngas, a combustable mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide gases. Burned like gasoline, BGB machines effectively capture syngas for immediate utilization in diesel or gas generators. Depending on throughput and feedstock, a BGB machine can power a 30 Kwh generator. During WWII, over 1 million cars were rebuilt to run on syngas derived from burning wood waste. The utilization of syngas additionally produces a liquid byproduct known as bio-oil or biocrude, a hydrocarbon rich liquid utilized in jet fuel, fertilizers, and plastics.
